Jones was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, on September 23, 1994, the son of a preacher.
Jones’ father was his musical inspiration, frequently bringing him to the church to sing gospel music. He is a graduate of Green Oaks Performing Arts Academy in Shreveport. During his time at Green Oaks Performing Arts Academy, Jones participated in a variety of musical productions, including plays and concerts. He learned to sing in his church choir and appeared in musicals at school.
When he was 17 years old, he competed in the second season of The X Factor where he auditioned with Josh Turner‘s song “Your Man“.[2] In 2016 he appeared in the Netflix reality show Chasing Cameron.[3] In 2021, he signed with Sony Music and The Penthouse and released his first album Down for It which features T.I.[4] Jones also appeared in the 2022 documentary For Love and Country.
Jones has been praised for his unique blend of country, R&B, and hip-hop music, and has cited a variety of musical influences including Ray Charles, Hank Williams Jr., and Usher.
In 2023, he released his second album, Something to Dance to. In 2024, he was featured on Beyoncé‘s album Cowboy Carter on the track “Just for Fun”.[5] He has toured with artists Shawn Mendes, Michael Ray and Logan Mize.
As of 2025, Jones has continued to make waves in the music industry, collaborating with a variety of artists and genres and releasing several successful albums.
